Career Opportunity

As a member of our growing engineering team, you will be the lead SysOps Engineer responsible for the server infrastructure critical to maintaining our threat detection systems, automated security operations center processes, and customer portals. The ideal candidate will have enterprise experience but be enthusiastic about working in a smaller, rapidly evolving, and growing environment with increasingly complex needs. You will not only administer current infrastructure but will also be given the opportunity to engineer new solutions.

Required

2+ years of Cloud Administration in a SysOps/DevOps environment
5+ years Linux Administration experience including proficiency in at least one scripting language
Experience managing systems in remote co-location facilities
Strong webserver experience with Apache and Nginx
Strong documentation skills and passion to document all processes and procedures
Practical understanding of networking concepts like firewalls, gateways, routing, access control lists and VPN
The ability to self-direct as well as mentor, lead and manage a small team
Practical understanding of email routing, security and delivery
Experience with transitioning traditional architectures to cloud architectures
The ability to rapidly and accurately task switch
The ability to juggle multiple workloads simultaneously and delegate where appropriate
Experience with building, operating and tuning monitoring systems
Strong commitment to and practical understanding of information security principles including implementing security controls, patch management, server scanning and hardening
Strong understanding of and practical experience with disaster recovery / business continuity
Experience implementing, operating and maintaining configuration management systems like Puppet, Chef, etc
The ability to collaborate closely with developers
A sense of urgency and ownership with respect to the systems you will be managing and a strong commitment to uptime
Strong troubleshooting skills
The ability to share an on-call rotation and the flexibility that requires
The ability to rapidly understand and implement new technologies as required

 

Desired

2+ Years of AWS Cloud Administration
AWS Certification
5+ years RedHat-derivative distribution experience (RedHat, Amazon Linux, CentOS, Fedora…)
Experience administering and curating a documentation system like a Wiki, Sharepoint, etc…
Office365 administration experience
Nagios and CloudWatch experience
An information security certification (SANS, GIAC, ISC2, OCSP, CEH, CompTIA, etc)
Production experience in a DevOps environment
Database experience including MySQL, Amazon Aurora, RDS, MongoDB
Proficiency in at least one of the following: Bash, Python, Ruby
Experience implementing and managing access control, two-factor authentication and SSO using LDAP, OAUTH2, SAML, etc
Postfix, Sendmail and/or AWS SES email administration experience
